Senator Andy Kim, who has represented New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, shared a series of statements on April 2, 2026, addressing legislative efforts and political obstacles in Washington.
On April 2, Kim announced new legislation aimed at U.S. technology policy: “Today, I introduced the MATCH Act with @SenatorRicketts to level the global playing field for U.S. tech and keep the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment out of the hands of China and other adversaries. This bill not only strengthens our export controls regime but” (April 2, 2026).
Later that day, he criticized House Speaker Johnson for blocking progress on bipartisan funding measures: “Blocked once again by Speaker Johnson, who cares more about his own job than working for the American people. Everyone wants to see this bipartisan deal to fund critical agencies like FEMA and TSA passed. It’s ridiculous that he’s still standing in the way.” (April 2, 2026).
Kim also issued a direct call regarding ongoing conflict: “End this war. Now. It’s only going to get worse from here.” (April 2, 2026).
Andy Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and earned a BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
