Senator Andy Kim, who has represented New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, posted a series of statements on social media addressing ongoing national issues and community recognition.

On April 30, 2026, Senator Kim commented on the financial impact of a current conflict, stating: “The cost of this war is unbearable. $25 billion in the first 60 days. Americans are paying for it, but they’ve had no say it. I’m supporting @SenAdamSchiff’s War Powers Resolution to reign in Trump and end this war.”

In another post dated May 1, 2026, Kim expressed support for whistleblowers facing retaliation: “These public servants never should have faced retaliation for raising the alarm and trying to keep us safe. I’ve called for these whistleblowers to be reinstated and applaud their bravery and dedication in the face of attacks from this administration.”

Later that day, he marked Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month with a message to his constituents: “Happy AANHPI Heritage Month, New Jersey! This month is a special opportunity for us to celebrate AANHPI individuals and their stories; to recognize and honor the rich history, culture, and contributions AANHPI communities have made to our country. I’m proud to be the first Asian”.

Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004). He replaced Tom MacArthur as representative of New Jersey’s 3rd district beginning his service in Congress in 2019.
