Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, has recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing national service, veterans’ care, and the observance of Hanukkah.
On December 13, 2025, Senator Kim criticized former President Donald Trump’s stance on support for military personnel. In his post, he stated: “Trump talks a big game when it comes to supporting our troops, but in reality, he’s willing to eliminate nurses and doctors that help veterans every day. That’s pretty shameful.”
Later the same day, Senator Kim expressed pride in his role as a public servant with the message: “It’s an honor to be a caregiver to our great nation. Let’s get to work.”
On December 14, 2025, Kim acknowledged Hanukkah and recent violence targeting Jewish communities by posting: “Tonight, Jewish families from across our state and around the world will gather for the beginning of Hanukkah. They’ll do so following the horrific and tragic murders targeting the Jewish community in Sydney.
Hanukkah teaches us that light overcomes the darkness. May each candle”
Senator Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District since replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019. He was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. Kim is an alumnus of Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
