Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district, posted a series of statements on social media addressing international coordination, local innovation, and criticism of former President Donald Trump.
On January 5, 2026, Senator Kim called for strategic engagement with allies and the Venezuelan opposition. He wrote, “This is a moment for careful coordination with our allies and partners, and work with the opposition in Venezuela – not glib assertions about running the country and using oil revenues to pay for it. This is a moment for the focus to be on American families, not American oil”.
Later that day, Kim highlighted his participation in a major event in New Jersey’s life sciences sector. He stated on January 5, 2026: “Today, I joined Celltrion for the opening of their facility in Branchburg, NJ. This is what the Einstein Corridor is all about: global innovation in medicine and technology that starts right here in our state. It’s an exciting time to be a New Jerseyan! https://t.co/cyXjOg5dMh”.
In another post dated January 6, 2026, Kim criticized Donald Trump’s approach to foreign policy. He wrote: “Trump’s doing mob boss politics again — this time on a global scale. He doesn’t have a plan for what comes next, just another half-baked scheme to help his friends get richer. https://t.co/By51Ox76qV”.
Senator Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Tom MacArthur. Born in Boston in 1982 and now residing in Moorestown, Kim graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and earned his BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
