Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, recently addressed several issues on his social media account, including U.S. support for Ukraine, federal education funding, and a judicial appointment in New Jersey.
On July 21, 2025, Senator Kim posted about his meeting with Ukrainian Member of Parliament Sasha Ustinova to discuss ongoing developments in the war in Ukraine and continued American support. He stated: “Last week, I met with Sasha Ustinova, Ukrainian MP, to discuss the latest on the war in Ukraine, and how the U.S. can continue to support our friends and allies.
We need to hold Russia accountable for its war crimes and destruction in Ukraine. I reaffirmed my personal commitment https://t.co/Z7fg999p6D” (July 21, 2025).
The following day, July 22, Senator Kim highlighted concerns over potential impacts of federal budget cuts on education by referencing a recent roundtable he hosted: “Education unlocks opportunity no matter your age.
I hosted an adult education roundtable in Flemington, NJ this past weekend to hear direct stories about the impact federal budget cuts to education will have on families and communities.
We must continue to stand up against this https://t.co/UAMDM6J1Hl” (July 22, 2025).
Later that same day, he commented on a key judicial appointment in New Jersey: “I am grateful to see that New Jersey’s District Court judges succeeded in appointing Desiree Grace as New Jersey’s U.S. Attorney. I hope to see her exercise the same judgement and reason in this new position. New Jersey deserves someone who will be measured and thoughtful in” (July 22, 2025).
Senator Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District since replacing Tom MacArthur after the 2018 election cycle. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown at age 40, Kim is an alumnus of Deep Springs College (2002) and holds a BA from the University of Chicago (2004). His recent posts reflect ongoing engagement with international affairs concerning Ukraine’s conflict with Russia—an issue drawing sustained attention from Congress—as well as domestic matters such as educational funding and judicial appointments within his home state.
