Senator Andy Kim, who represents New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account on March 28, 2026, addressing national security funding and disability advocacy.
In one post dated March 28, 2026, Kim criticized Congressional Republicans’ approach to federal agency funding: “Congressional Republicans don’t care about TSA. They just want to write another blank check for ICE. We won’t let them.”
Later that day, Kim commented on proposed military spending related to Iran: “Trump wants $200 billion for his war with Iran. I’m a hard NO.” The statement came amid ongoing debates in Congress over foreign policy and defense appropriations.
In a separate post from the afternoon of March 28, Kim highlighted his engagement with advocates for people with disabilities: “It was so great to welcome disability advocate Kevin Nunez back to DC! Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such powerful voices to support the disability community in NJ and beyond.”
Andy Kim has served as the representative for New Jersey’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Tom MacArthur. He was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. Kim is an alumnus of Deep Springs College and the University of Chicago.
