Senator Andy Kim, who has represented New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing national political issues, gun violence legislation, and support for caregivers.
On December 19, 2025, Senator Kim commented on former President Donald Trump’s actions by stating, “This, as usual, is all about Trump’s ego, not the American people.”
The following day, December 20, 2025, he addressed concerns about gun violence in the United States. In his post he wrote: “Too many families are heartbroken and too many communities have been torn apart by senseless gun violence. This legislation will help save lives. It’s time for Congress to step up and deliver.”
On December 21, 2025, Senator Kim highlighted a meeting with Ai-jen Poo of the National Domestic Workers Alliance to discuss caregiving challenges. He stated: “Last week, I met with @aijenpoo, President of @domesticworkers, to talk about my caregiving journey and how we can work together to support caregivers across this country. I look forward to working with Ai-jen as we work to provide the relief that so many families need.”
Senator Kim has served in Congress since replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019 and represents constituents from New Jersey’s 3rd district. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown at age 40, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (BA, 2004).
