Senator Andy Kim, who has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing topics ranging from sports achievements to scientific advancements and disaster response policies.
On July 13, 2025, Senator Kim acknowledged Amanda Anisimova’s recent success at Wimbledon, stating “Congratulations to Amanda Anisimova of Freehold, NJ to making it to her first Grand Slam finals! So proud to see NJ represented at Wimbledon this year.”
In a post dated July 14, 2025, Kim highlighted the evolution and impact of quantum mechanics research in New Jersey: “Over the course of 100 years, quantum mechanics has transformed from evolving theories into the kind of advancements and innovations that change lives. From the research at Princeton to the work at the Stevens Institute in my home state of New Jersey, we continue to see this”.
Later on July 14, 2025, Kim criticized a policy by Kristi Noem regarding disaster response times. He wrote: “When a community is hit by a natural disaster, they don’t have 5 days to wait on Kristi Noem. Noem’s stupid policy risks lives and puts us all in danger. I’m calling on her to rescind it immediately.”
Andy Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and earned his BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
