Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, has used his social media platform to address recent concerns on military accountability, foreign policy, and senior financial security.
On March 11, 2026, Kim referenced his legislative work regarding civilian protection at the Pentagon and criticized actions by Hegseth. He wrote: “Three years ago, I helped write a law that created a Civilian Protection Center at the Pentagon. Last year, Hegseth gutted it.
A military investigation found that the U.S. committed one of the worst civilian casualty strikes in decades. Hegseth must answer for this before https://t.co/qdLEFKt7Hs“.
The following day, on March 12, Kim questioned former President Donald Trump’s approach to Iran policy: “Donald Trump won’t tell you his plan in Iran. It’s because he doesn’t have one.”
Later that morning, Kim highlighted an ongoing issue affecting older Americans: “Scammers are preying on seniors, stealing billions from Americans’ retirement savings. We need to confront these crimes.
That’s why I helped introduce the Senior Security Act to stop financial predators and protect your savings.”
Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently lives in Moorestown. He is a graduate of Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004). Before his congressional service began with his election in 2019 after defeating Tom MacArthur, Kim worked on various public service initiatives.
