Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, recently addressed several political topics on his Twitter account.
On January 14, 2026, Kim commented on Governor Phil Murphy’s final State of the State address, stating: “Yesterday, @GovMurphy gave his final State of the State address. Governor, thank you for your service to NJ over the past 8 years, including your dedication to making our home a global innovation hub. NJ is the best state to live, work, and invest in. Let’s continue to build”.
Later that day, Kim criticized former President Donald Trump’s actions towards political opponents. He wrote: “Trump continues to go after those who disagree with him because he wants to maintain power. I’ll continue to stand with my colleagues like @SenatorSlotkin who stand up to Trump’s mob boss politics, and call out the President’s clear intimidation attacks.” This post was made on January 14, 2026.
In another tweet posted on January 14, 2026, Kim expressed his views on regulatory decision-making: “The FDA’s decisions need to be guided by science, not politics.”
Andy Kim has served as a congressional representative for New Jersey since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
