Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, has recently used his social media platform to highlight issues ranging from minority representation in politics to policy discussions with humanitarian organizations.
On May 10, 2026, Kim reflected on his own political journey and expressed optimism for future generations, stating: “When I ran for U.S. Senate, I was told I was the “wrong” kind of minority to win statewide. I believe in the next generation of AANHPI leaders and voices across our society. This next decade will be one of the most dynamic for our diaspora communities.”
The following day, May 11, he acknowledged the contributions of his office’s interns: “Great to spend time with our DC interns and hear directly from them as they pitch policy proposals and research projects that they’ve been working on all semester. Thanks for all you’ve contributed to our office this Spring and for your service to New Jersey!”
Later that evening, Kim discussed recent conversations about U.S. immigration policies: “I sat down with @RefugeesIntl to discuss concerns about Trump’s reliance on third country deportations and the impact of cuts to humanitarian aid. This moment is defined by anxiety and urgency. Strengthening human rights and creating opportunities for all people makes America”.
Andy Kim, born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, has built a career focused on public service since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019. He holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
