Senator Andy Kim, representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, has been vocal on various issues through his social media posts. His recent tweets address healthcare concerns and national security risks.
On May 13, 2025, Senator Kim highlighted the human impact of potential Medicaid cuts. He stated, “Medicaid recipients are not just numbers, they’re people like Janeen. They are our neighbors and loved ones who would be devastated if Trump and Republicans gut Medicaid.”
In a tweet posted on May 14, 2025, he criticized the acceptance of gifts from foreign governments as corrupt practices. Kim expressed concern over national security by stating: “The American public knows this is wrong. A gift like this from a foreign government is blatant corruption. Air Force One is a secure command center—not something we outsource.” He warned about the financial burden on taxpayers to ensure these gifts meet critical standards.
Later that day, Senator Kim voiced his disapproval regarding cuts affecting healthcare for first responders at Ground Zero. He tweeted: “RFK Jr. and Trump rushed to make cuts without caring they were slashing healthcare for Ground Zero firefighters.” The senator emphasized the seriousness of these actions by calling them “outrageous.”
Senator Andy Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. A graduate of both Deep Springs College and the University of Chicago, he succeeded Tom MacArthur in Congress.
