Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, shared a series of posts on February 17, 2026, addressing topics ranging from cultural celebrations to political criticism and condemnation of hate speech.
In his first post of the day, Kim extended greetings for the Lunar New Year, stating, “Happy Lunar New Year to all celebrating in NJ and around the world! I love this time of the year as our family comes together to cook our favorite foods and celebrate new beginnings. I hope this next year is one filled with good luck and fortune for you and your loved ones.” (February 17, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Kim criticized Senator Marco Rubio’s remarks at an international conference, writing, “Rubio’s speech at Munich was full of hypocrisy.” (February 17, 2026).
In a subsequent post that evening, Kim addressed comments made in Congress that he described as hateful. He wrote, “These comments are disgusting and these hateful beliefs have no place in Congress. We must call this out and stand by our Muslim neighbors.” (February 17, 2026).
Andy Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd district since replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004). His recent statements reflect ongoing engagement with both local communities and national political discourse.
