Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, shared several updates on his Twitter account on May 5, 2026.
In a post from the morning of May 5, Kim invited constituents to join him at a local event: “Come with me to the Abilities Expo in New Jersey.” (2026-05-05 11:59:34 UTC)
Later that day, he recognized Jewish American Heritage Month and highlighted the importance of celebrating Jewish communities. He wrote: “Happy Jewish American Heritage Month! I’d like to take a moment to honor the contributions Jewish Americans make to New Jersey.
Celebrating Jewish heritage and communities across the country is just one way we can reject antisemitism in all its forms.” (2026-05-05 13:16:41 UTC)
In an afternoon update, Kim addressed concerns from his constituents regarding ongoing international conflict. He stated: “I spoke to people back home in NJ who are seeing this costly war in Iran being waged at their expense, but without their say.
They asked me, ‘What about us?'” (2026-05-05 15:01:59 UTC)
Kim was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and received his BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
