Senator Andy Kim, who represents New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to highlight local agricultural issues and voice concerns about federal agency management under the Trump Administration.
On July 22, 2025, Senator Kim posted about a meeting with cranberry farmers: “Today, I met with Ocean Spray Growers, an agricultural cooperative of over 700 cranberry farmers, including 16 growers and farm owners in New Jersey. As farmers in New Jersey face increased challenges, I’m fighting to support their work and the contributions they make to our https://t.co/slttS6eFJ3”.
The following day, on July 23, he referenced a joint statement with Senator Cory Booker regarding personnel changes within the Trump Administration: “My joint statement with @SenBooker on the Trump Administration’s Firing First Assistant Desiree Grace. https://t.co/TYnNqmGsE6”.
Later that same day, Kim criticized recent decisions affecting FEMA: “People in and outside of FEMA know, the changes the Trump Administration and Sec. Noem are making is causing chaos and risking lives. We deserve better. https://t.co/sHTS8qPDn2”.
Andy Kim has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Tom MacArthur as representative for New Jersey’s 3rd District. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
