On August 13, 2025, Senator Kim commented on a common sentiment among residents of his state: “New Jerseyans will get it: I’ve had it with grocery store bagels.”

Later that day, he voiced support for labor rights and union activity in New Jersey and nationwide. In a post dated August 13, 2025, Kim stated: “Workers in New Jersey and across the country have the right to organize free from harm and to be treated with dignity and respect. Senator Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd district since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
