Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, addressed several national issues in a series of tweets on March 12, 2026.
In one post, Kim called for an end to attacks on Muslim Americans and condemned Islamophobia. He wrote, “Please stop these attacks on our fellow Americans and communities in our nation. Islamophobia fuels hate and violence.
Equating Muslims to terrorists and accusing an elected official of being a threat are unacceptable and against the oath we swore to become Senators.” (March 12, 2026)
Later that day, Kim criticized Republican lawmakers over cybersecurity funding during wartime. He stated, “We are now a nation at war and Republicans refuse to fund our country’s cybersecurity agency.
We can fund these separate sections of DHS and continue to hold this administration accountable. Republicans just refuse to do so.” (March 12, 2026)
In another tweet posted minutes later, Kim commented on the impact of ongoing conflict on housing affordability: “Trump’s war is making it harder for you to buy a house.” (March 12, 2026)
Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and earned his BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
