Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from the housing crisis to labor rights and political accountability.
On February 11, 2026, Kim publicly called for action on the housing crisis, urging Speaker Johnson and Senate Republicans to act. In his post, he stated: “It’s about damn time Speaker Johnson do something to address the housing crisis. Dems have been ready for months. It’s time for Senate Republicans to get their act together.” (posted on February 11, 2026).
Later that day, Kim highlighted his meeting with leaders from New Jersey’s United Auto Workers (UAW). He emphasized support for working families by posting: “It was great to meet with leaders from New Jersey UAW. Working people deserve jobs they can rely on and pay they can raise a family on. UAW and workers across our state are on the forefront of the effort to deliver it, and I’m proud to be in the fight alongside them.” (posted on February 11, 2026).
In another statement addressing national politics, Kim commented on public sentiment toward former President Trump’s actions: “The people are speaking out and speaking clearly: they will not support Trump’s lawlessness and baseless attacks at those he deems his enemies.” (posted on February 11, 2026).
Kim has served in Congress since succeeding Tom MacArthur in 2019 and represents constituents in southern New Jersey. Born in Boston in 1982, he currently resides in Moorestown and is an alumnus of Deep Springs College and the University of Chicago.
