Senator Andy Kim, who represents New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues on his Twitter account on July 25, 2025, including housing affordability, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and the legacy of Lee Porter.
In a post from July 25, Kim stated: “Housing costs are too expensive in this country and owning a home is further out of reach for more Americans than ever before. That’s why I’m fighting to the help hardworking Americans who are trying to buy a home for the first time.”
Later that day, he published another statement: “My statement on mass starvation in Gaza.” The tweet did not include additional details but referenced an ongoing concern about conditions in Gaza.
In an evening post on July 25, Kim honored Lee Porter’s contributions to fair housing: “Lee Porter leaves behind a historic legacy of breaking down housing barriers while creating access and opportunity for thousands of families. She has rightly earned her place in history as the ‘Mother of Fair Housing’ and her impact across not only New Jersey, but the entire”
Andy Kim has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Tom MacArthur. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
