Senator Andy Kim, currently representing New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on January 12 and 13, 2026, addressing healthcare policy, local athletic achievement, and cultural celebration.
On January 12, Senator Kim commented on former President Donald Trump’s stance regarding healthcare: “There you have it – Trump just said he doesn’t care about you or your healthcare.” (posted January 12, 2026).
Later that evening, he congratulated a local athlete: “Congrats to Isabeau Levito from Mount Holly, NJ for making Team USA in figure skating for the 2026 Winter Olympics! Looking forward to watching Isabeau compete and make our state proud. Go Team USA!” (posted January 12, 2026).
On January 13, Senator Kim marked Korean American Day by recognizing his heritage and role in the Senate: “Happy Korean American Day! Proud to be the first Korean American in the U.S. Senate and celebrate our shared history, culture, and communities.” (posted January 13, 2026).
Senator Kim has served as a member of Congress since replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019. He was born in Boston in 1982 and resides in Moorestown. Kim graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and earned a BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
