Senator Andy Kim, currently representing New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has used his social media platform to address several pressing national and international issues in early April 2026.
On April 6, Senator Kim marked World Health Day by emphasizing the importance of scientific integrity and public health initiatives. He stated, “On World Health Day, we must stand with science and for the health of communities around the world. In the U.S., we must continue to support evidence-based public health, invest in medical research, and give relief to the millions of care workers who look after our loved ones.”
Later that day, Kim called for accountability among public officials regarding recent allegations involving a former Trump campaign manager. On April 6 he posted, “I believe that public officials should work for the people they serve, not their own profit. That’s why I’m demanding answers over the alleged corruption at DHS by Corey Lewandowski.”
The following day, on April 7, Senator Kim addressed what he described as threats from former President Donald Trump. He wrote, “Congress must convene immediately to condemn Trump’s horrific threats against tens of millions of people and stop this unconstitutional war. We must prevent Trump from unleashing the catastrophic and illegal violence he is touting.”
Kim has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Tom MacArthur as representative for New Jersey’s 3rd district. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
