Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of statements on social media addressing concerns over economic pressures and international relations.
On April 10, 2026, Kim criticized rising costs associated with recent government policies, stating, “This is Trump’s war tax and YOU’RE footing the bill. We are drowning in these prices. This is unsustainable.” In another post later that day, he remarked on broader fiscal priorities: “Americans need financial help, not expensive wars.”
Earlier on the same day, Kim also commemorated an important diplomatic milestone. He wrote, “Today marks the 47th Anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act, which has helped provide peace, prosperity, and security for the Taiwan people. Taiwan is an important partner in commerce, security, and democracy for our country and the broader Indo-Pacific region.”
Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and resides in Moorestown. He holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004). Since replacing Tom MacArthur in Congress in 2019, Kim has emphasized both domestic economic relief and support for international partnerships.
