Senator Andy Kim, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, shared a series of posts on February 11, 2026, addressing economic concerns, community engagement, and discussions on immigration accountability.
In a post at 16:35 UTC, Kim criticized former President Donald Trump for allegedly delaying job creation and economic growth. He wrote, “Trump is withholding 95,000 jobs and $19.5 billion in generated economic activity hostage. His ask? His name on yet another building. It’s extortion and it’s costing you.”
Later that day at 17:02 UTC, Kim commented on meeting with monks advocating for peace. He stated, “What an inspiration to be able to meet with the monks on their walk for peace.”
At 20:33 UTC the same day, Kim described his meeting with Marc Morial, President of the National Urban League. The senator said they discussed efforts to address accountability issues related to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), specifically referencing conditions in detention centers. He posted, “Today, I met with Marc Morial, President of the National Urban League. We discussed efforts to hold ICE and CBP accountable, both for the cruelty in our streets and the inhumane conditions we see in detention centers like Delaney Hall in NJ.”
Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and earned a BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
