Senator Andy Kim, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of messages on his Twitter account in early February 2026 addressing topics ranging from Black History Month to youth mental health and public spending.
On February 7, Kim highlighted the legacy of innovation in New Jersey during Black History Month. He wrote, “NJ’s history is one of innovation. This Black History Month, I honor the contributions of Black inventors and scientists to this legacy as we work to expand the Einstein Corridor. Meet Lewis Howard Latimer, most famous for his work with the lightbulb at Edison Laboratory.”
The following day, Kim addressed concerns about youth mental health. On February 8, he stated, “As a father, I worry about the consequences of our inaction when it comes to youth mental health. It’s a crisis.”
Later that same day, Kim questioned how certain funds would be allocated by another party or individual. He posted on February 8: “How many of these millions of dollars do you think he’s planning on using to help you?”
Kim has served as a member of Congress since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019 and represents New Jersey’s 3rd District. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
