Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, recently used his social media platform to address legislative and foreign policy issues, including anti-corruption efforts in New Jersey and U.S. policy toward Venezuela.
On January 2, 2026, Kim posted about a recent legislative victory: “Our win against a bill seeking to limit the anti-corruption fight in NJ is proof that Americans are fed up with the broken status quo. It doesn’t have to be this way.”
The following day, on January 3, Kim commented on statements made by Secretaries Rubio and Hegseth regarding U.S. military actions: “Secretaries Rubio and Hegseth looked every Senator in the eye a few weeks ago and said this wasn’t about regime change. I didn’t trust them then and we see now that they blatantly lied to Congress. Trump rejected our Constitutionally required approval process for armed conflict”.
Later on January 3, Kim addressed former President Donald Trump’s reported plans for Venezuela: “Americans across the political spectrum must reject Trump’s plan for the U.S. to ‘run the country’ of Venezuela. This is a disastrous plan. We have seen this show before and it did not end well. The American people deserve a government focused on running our own country, not”.
Andy Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and from the University of Chicago with a BA in 2004.
