On Wednesday, March 18, at 5 p.m., Alex Pley, a former Shawnee High School standout, helped lead her current college team, the Catholic Cardinals, to a 7-1 victory over the Washington Shorewomen in an NCAA Division III softball contest.
The matchup was held at the Catholic Softball Field. This marked their second meeting with the Shorewomen this season. Their prior game on Wednesday, March 18, saw the Cardinals win 10-2.
Pley pitched five innings, allowing one earned run with one walk and one strikeout recorded.
The Cardinals’ upcoming game is set for Saturday, March 21, at 1 p.m. at Shangraw Athletic Complex, where they will face the Lycoming Warriors.
