The Burlington County Summer Concert Series will conclude this weekend with tribute performances to Jimmy Buffet and Queen. The final shows are scheduled at the Burlington County Amphitheater in Westampton and Historic Smithville Park in Eastampton.

Jimmy and the Parrots, a group known for its Jimmy Buffet tribute performances, will take the stage Friday evening at the amphitheater located next to the Burlington County Library. On Saturday night, Queen Flash, a six-member band performing Queen’s music, will close out the series on the event lawn at Historic Smithville Park.

The concert series is organized by the Burlington County Parks System and has featured more than a dozen concerts this summer. Performers have included artists specializing in various genres such as rock, country, blues, jazz, and pop.

“This year’s Summer Concert Series has been one to remember with record crowds and stellar performances,” said Burlington County Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel, who serves as liaison to the County Department of Resource Conservation and Parks. “These free concerts are among our most popular Parks programming and provide an affordable evening of entertainment for all residents to enjoy. There are two shows remaining this weekend, so make a plan to come out to the Amphitheater and Smithville Park.”

New Jersey Assemblywoman Andrea Katz commented on the impact of these events for local families. “At a time when many families are still struggling with rising costs, Burlington County’s free concert series provides residents of all ages with an affordable way to enjoy dynamic music from all eras,” Assemblywoman Katz said. “It’s become a great tradition and we’re excited to hear this season has brought record setting audiences.”

Both concerts will begin with opening acts at 6 p.m., followed by headliners at 7 p.m. Food trucks will be available at both venues. Attendees may bring their own food and beverages; however, alcoholic drinks, tobacco products, vapor products or other drugs are not allowed.

The concert series is part of a larger set of entertainment options offered by the Burlington County Parks System throughout the year. Residents can find information about upcoming activities in the Burlington County Parks Program Guide online at https://www.co.burlington.nj.us/235/Parks.
