Work is set to begin next week on the resurfacing of a portion of North Pemberton Road in Burlington County. Starting Monday, May 5, pavement milling and overlay will occur on a 3.1-mile stretch of North Pemberton Road, or County Route 630, extending from Route 206 to County Route 616. This project is anticipated to take approximately three weeks to complete.
While traffic will continue to flow through the work zone, motorists should expect delays and consider using alternate routes. The roadworks are managed by Arawak Paving Company Inc., based in Hammonton, as part of Burlington County’s regular road resurfacing initiatives. This year’s contract with Arawak includes the repaving of 33.4 miles of roads across 16 municipalities in Burlington County.
“Burlington County is the largest county in New Jersey and has over 500 miles of County roads, 411 County bridges and 700 plus culverts. Maintaining this infrastructure is one of the important services our government performs,” said Burlington County Commissioner Tom Pullion, who serves as the liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Our repaving program ensures Burlington County has safe, quality roads and we are pleased to see that work is continuing.”
