The Burlington County Superintendent of Elections is continuing to offer hands-on tutorials and demonstrations of the county’s voting machines every Saturday until the November General Election. These sessions are held at the County Corner Store offices, located at 1020 Briggs Road, Mount Laurel, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

In addition to voting machine tutorials, staff will be available to address other election-related inquiries such as voter registration updates and vote-by-mail applications. “Voting is a fundamental right, and we are proud to partner with the Burlington County Clerk to make sure voters have all the information they need to exercise that right however they choose,” said Burlington County Superintendent of Elections Dawn Marie Addiego.

This initiative marks the second year that staff and voting machines have been sent to the County Corner Store for public tutorials. The machines in use include electronic ballot marking devices and tabulators, which are employed during early voting periods.

For those unable to attend in person, a computer animation video demonstrating how to use the voting equipment is available on the Burlington County Election and Voter Services webpage.

Meanwhile, the Burlington County Board of Elections is seeking residents interested in serving as poll workers for this year’s General Election. Prospective poll workers must be U.S. citizens residing in Burlington County. Those aged 18 or older must also be registered voters affiliated with either the Republican or Democratic party.

Poll workers are required to undergo mandatory training and be available on Election Day, November 4th. Duties include setting up voting equipment, assisting voters, and closing polls. Poll workers will earn a minimum of $300 for their services on Election Day and additional pay for training if they work that day.

“Our democracy depends on free and fair elections, and this is an opportunity for both Democrats and Republicans to serve their communities,” stated Burlington County Board of Elections Chair Heather Cheesman.

Interested individuals can apply online or seek more information by contacting designated email addresses or phone numbers provided by the board.
