The Burlington County Superintendent of Elections is offering hands-on tutorials for voting machines at the County Corner Store in Mount Laurel. This initiative aims to familiarize new voters and others with the voting process ahead of the June 10 Primary Election. The tutorials will be held twice a week on Wednesdays from 4 PM to 7 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM at the store located at 1020 Briggs Road.

This marks the second year that such tutorials are being offered, following their introduction before last year’s elections. The sessions include demonstrations of electronic ballot marking devices and tabulators, which are also used during early voting. Staff members will be available to address election-related inquiries, including voter registration, vote-by-mail options, and updating registration information.

“Voting is a fundamental right and we are proud to partner with the Burlington County Clerk to make sure voters have the information they need to exercise that right however they choose,” stated Dawn Marie Addiego, Burlington County Superintendent of Elections.

For those unable to attend in person, an instructional video detailing how to use the voting machines is available online on the Burlington County Election and Voter Services page.

Voters should note that May 20 is the deadline for registering for the upcoming Primary Election. Eligible individuals must be U.S. citizens aged at least 17 years (though voting requires being 18) and residents of Burlington County for no less than 30 days. Registration can occur in person or online through various platforms provided by local election offices.

In New Jersey’s closed primary system, only registered Republicans or Democrats may vote on June 10. Unaffiliated voters can participate by declaring a party affiliation prior to this date using forms available both online and at election offices.
