Burlington County is set to host the 4th Annual Bring Health Home Resource Fair on Friday, May 9, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Burlington County Library System’s Main Branch in Westampton. The event aims to enhance health and housing security for residents.

Organized by the Burlington County Commissioners and various county departments, the fair will offer free health screenings, fitness classes, mindfulness activities, and information tables from over 40 agencies and service providers.

“Good health starts at home and Burlington County prioritizes programs and resources that help all residents live healthy lives, including assistance related to sufficient, stable housing,” stated Burlington County Commissioner Director Dr. Felicia Hopson. “The Bring Health Home Resource Fair brings together a variety of health and housing resources in one location so residents can easily access information and receive information and in-person case management for a number of useful programs.”

Participating agencies include the Burlington County Health Department, Division of Community Development, Recovery Resource Center, Office on Aging, Division of Behavioral Health, Housing Hub, Animal Shelter, Hope One mobile outreach units among others.

Service providers such as UnitedHealthCare, Christian Caring Center, Food Bank of South Jersey, Oaks Integrated Care, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield New Jersey are also involved. Additional participants include Beacon of Hope, Sanctuary Foundation for Veterans, Habitat for Humanity of South Central NJ among others.

Community education programs will be featured in the library’s auditorium with events like Healthy Living Bingo run by the Burlington County Health Department. Presentations from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency and the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs are also scheduled.

Food and entertainment will accompany this family-friendly event focused on informing residents about available resources related to health and housing.

“Seeking information about health and housing can sometimes be intimidating,” said Burlington County Commissioner Randy Brolo. “Burlington County created this resource fair to make it easy for residents to get screened and learn more about proper nutrition, exercise and other healthy lifestyles along with programs that can help them remain in secure affordable housing.”
