The Burlington County Farmers Market has secured a spot among the top five in a national ranking by the USA Today 10BEST Readers Poll. The market was ranked fourth among 20 competing farmers markets across the United States. The highest spot went to Soda City Market in Columbia, South Carolina.

Burlington County Commissioner Director Dr. Felicia Hopson expressed pride in the market’s recognition: “The Burlington County Farmers Market has long been a favorite spot for shoppers across the county and beyond and now all of America knows how great it is. This is fantastic honor, and we are excited to share the news and congratulate the market’s staff, volunteers, farms, vendors and entertainers who work together to make the market such a success.”

Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel, who serves as liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation and Parks, commented on the significance of this accolade. “Agriculture has always been a major part of Burlington County’s economy, and we are proud to help keep it a strong and vibrant industry. The farmers market plays a pivotal role in the County support for agriculture and it’s gratifying to see it receive this kind of national recognition. This level of national recognition is gratifying and elevates not only the County market, but also our farmers, vendors and crafters who sell there.”

The USA Today 10BEST Readers Poll is an annual event where winners are chosen based on online voting conducted daily from mid-March to April 14. This was the first time the Burlington County Farmers Market was part of the finalists. Previously, it was distinguished as the top farmers market in New Jersey and was ranked third in the Northeast according to the 2024 America’s Farmers Market Celebration poll by the American Farmland Trust.

The Burlington County Farmers Market operates from the County Agricultural Center at 500 Centerton Road, Moorestown. Once a dairy farm, the site now features a community garden and education center. The market has grown steadily, attracting thousands of visitors weekly. The market began its new season in March, with the final preseason market scheduled for April 26 from 10 AM to 1 PM. The regular market season begins on May 10 and runs every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1 PM until November 22, regardless of weather conditions.
