The Burlington County Summer Concert Series is set to return, featuring a lineup of tribute and cover bands spanning various musical eras and genres. The free concerts will take place most weekends at the Burlington County Amphitheater from late June through August.
Kicking off the series on June 20 at Historic Smithville Park in Eastampton is Fearless, a Taylor Swift tribute band led by Jennifer Westrip. “It doesn’t matter if you’re a Swiftie, Parrot Head, 80s fanatic or a lover of country, Blues or jazz, the Burlington County Summer Concert Series has performers every music fan will love,” said Burlington County Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel.
Other notable acts include 80s Revolution, known for their renditions of hits from Madonna and Journey; Larger Than Life, a tribute to boy bands like Backstreet Boys; Mariposa Galacticas with their unique mix of kumbia and punk; Forever Simon & Garfunkel; Damn the Torpedoes honoring Tom Petty; and Jimmy and the Parrots performing Jimmy Buffet songs.
While most events are at the amphitheater, some concerts will be held at Historic Smithville Park to accommodate larger audiences. Attendees can bring chairs and blankets starting at 4 PM for shows beginning at 6 PM. The top row is reserved for those with mobility challenges.
Concertgoers may bring food and beverages but must refrain from alcohol, tobacco, vapor products or drugs. The concert series is organized by the Burlington County Parks System with support from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
