Burlington County is set to open two additional early voting locations for the upcoming New Jersey Primary Election. The early voting period will span six days, from June 3 to June 8, providing voters with more opportunities to cast their ballots in person.
The new locations are at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Burlington City and Cinnaminson Community Center. These additions bring the total number of early voting sites in the county to nine. Heather Cheesman, Chair of the Burlington County Election Board, expressed satisfaction with the expanded access: “Voting is one of the most fundamental rights and we are pleased to offer Burlington County voters two additional polling locations that will be open during the early voting period.”
In a change from previous years, the Evesham/Marlton early voting site has been relocated to the Blue Barn Recreational Facility. During this period, any registered voter in Burlington County can vote at any of these nine locations using a machine. This differs from Election Day when voters must visit their designated polling places.
The early voting locations will operate daily during this period, with hours from 10 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and Saturday, and from 10 AM to 6 PM on Sunday.
Only registered Republicans and Democrats may participate in this primary election unless unaffiliated voters declare a party affiliation before or during early voting. Declaration forms are available online or at local election offices.
Voters who have opted for mail-in ballots but choose to vote in person will need to use provisional ballots. All valid provisional ballots will be counted.
For those preferring mail-in options, applications for vote-by-mail (VBM) ballots are being accepted until June 9. Completed VBM ballots can be submitted via secure drop boxes throughout the county or delivered directly to election offices by various means before polls close on June 10.
