Senator Andy Kim, representing New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared a series of tweets covering topics from international relations to domestic budget analysis and internship opportunities. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim brings attention to key issues through his social media presence.
On June 3, Senator Kim expressed his congratulations to President-elect Lee on their election victory. He emphasized the importance of maintaining and building upon the long-standing partnership between the United States and the Republic of Korea. “I congratulate President-elect Lee on his election and look forward to continuing to build on the critical partnership between the U.S. and Republic of Korea.”
Later that day, Kim provided insights into former President Trump’s budget proposal, pointing out aspects he believes are underreported yet significant for public awareness. “I dug into Trump’s budget over the weekend and here are 3 things you might not see in the news that I think are really important to know about.”
On June 4, Senator Kim announced internship openings for individuals interested in politics and public service for Fall 2025 sessions either in Washington, DC or New Jersey. The positions require applicants to have completed at least one year of college courses, with New Jersey interns based out of Barrington. “We’re hiring! Have a passion for politics and public service? Join us in Washington, DC or New Jersey as an intern for the Fall 2025 Session!”
Senator Andy Kim’s educational background includes a BA from the University of Chicago obtained in 2004 after attending Deep Springs College earlier.
