On April 10, 2025, Senator Kim tweeted about a helicopter crash in the Hudson River. He expressed deep sorrow over the reports of casualties and noted that his office is actively monitoring the rescue efforts. His message extended condolences to the families affected by the incident.
The following day, April 11, Kim shared in a tweet about meeting with the father of Amer Rabee. Rabee was a 14-year-old U.S. citizen from New Jersey who tragically died after being shot in the West Bank by Israeli forces. Senator Kim expressed the need for answers for Rabee’s family and the families of two other boys who were injured. He is collaborating with Senator Cory Booker on this issue.
On April 12, Senator Kim sent his best wishes to those celebrating Passover. In his message, he hoped for a peaceful gathering around the Seder table, highlighting the importance of reflection and strength during the celebration. Andy Kim, born in Boston in 1982, has been living in Moorestown and is 40 years old. He is a University of Chicago graduate and has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District in Congress since 2019, after replacing former member Tom MacArthur. Kim, who also attended Deep Springs College, continues to engage with both local and international issues through his congressional role.
